After they were pushed out by their sire Teton in May 2024, Apex came across 2021 Mare, Tess, and her brother, 2022 Colt, Shooter. Apex worked to push away Shooter and took Tess. This was the first mare for Apex. In July, Apex would come across filly Sienna, who had been separated from her natal band due to an injury, and add her to his band.
