In the winter of 2023-24, Applewood picked up his first mare when he came across 2020 Mare, Birch, and her filly, Aspen. Frosty and Cody, who typically do their own thing, joined the band soon after and spent the end of winter with Applewood. They continue to walk with his band today. 2003 Mare, Pretty Girl joined the band at the end of April 2024 when her colt Beau became a bachelor.
