An Afternoon With Circus
Hello everyone! As promised, here is a special treat to start off your week. The gorgeous horse you see below is the legendary Park stallion, Circus! He is the 2000 colt out of Mare Flicka by the late stallion Curious George. Circus was injured in 2008, which has prevented him from holding a band of his own ever since. However, it has not stopped him from taking the occasional stroll into the Park to mingle with the rest of the herd and sometimes even spend time with another stallion’s mare.
With the bison round-up going on last week, I decided to head off to the Petrified Forest and try hiking the different trails in that area. One afternoon I was determined to find Circus, and after following a few clues, I found him! It is so rewarding to put in the work hiking around his area of the Park and get lucky enough to find him. As you can see in the photos, he is doing well for 21 and looks great as we get closer to our winter season. I enjoyed a couple of hours with this handsome stallion before leaving him to nap. Enjoy and have a great week!
