Checking on Jasper

Hello everyone! Yesterday, I had the pleasure of spending time with Casper’s (Nicol’s) band, which meant I was able to check on the newest colt, Jasper. It had been just over a week since I last saw him, and since then, we received our first snow. I was thrilled to see he had made it through the storms. However, I immediately noticed he was having a few issues with his back left leg. He does not want to put a lot of weight on it when he walks and runs. I did not notice any cuts, which is good. He likely had an accident with the snow and ice. Jasper is keeping up with the band, but he could still use some positive thoughts, prayers, and good vibes sent his way.
Before ending today, I also want to talk about the weather and the location of Casper’s band. As you can see, we now have several inches of snow. So far, it is not keeping me from getting to them. That could change at any time. His band, along with two others, are currently 2-3 miles from the loop road. If they stay there, the snow may become too deep to reach them safely at some point. I will do my best to check Jasper, but please understand my obstacles as well. I will update you all whenever possible. Below is a look at colt Jasper, his momma Berkleigh, and presumed half-sister Tawny. Thanks for your support, and have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
