Fun Friday Part 48

It’s time for another “Fun Friday!” Today’s photos feature a varied collection of the beautiful horses running wild and free in Theodore Roosevelt National Park. I will include a description under each photo, so be sure to scroll through. Once again, I’ve added something a little different at the end. Enjoy, and have a great weekend!

Half-sisters of Grady’s band, Maisey and Breeze.

Band Stallion Anzar and his mare Bluff in the back

Mares Maggie and Dixie of Amantes’ band down by the river.

Mare Democracy of Remington’s band posing with her colt from last year, Tango. Mare Lakota is in the background.

New Band Stallion Beau and bachelor stallion Moon Shadow are having words. Moon Shadow noticed Half Moon was not with the band, and when he got closer to check things out, Beau quickly chased him off.

Stallion Frontier running back to his band.

(l to r) Xander, Angel, Spotted Blue, and Blue Angel

For over ten years I have walked by this same wash over and over and never saw any sign of life in it. Last week that changed when I came across a muskrat enjoying himself there. This is also the first time I have ever seen a muskrat while hiking in the park.
