Connections to Pretty Girl
Hello everyone! While out with the horses one evening, I found Gunner’s band tucked into the trees. It was a neat area to try and photograph, but that was not what drew me to capture this photo. I loved that every horse in this image is directly related and can be tracked back to Mare Pretty Girl (pictured fourth from the left).
The horse in front, Perdita, is Pretty Girl’s 2017 filly by stallion Red Face. Next in line is Ace, Perdita’s 2021 colt and Pretty Girl’s grandson. Third in line is Beau, Pretty Girl’s 2021 colt, followed by Pretty Girl herself. However, it does not end there! Mare Birch, out of Perdita and Pretty Girl’s granddaughter, is in the trees to the right. She is standing with Aspen, her 2023 filly, and the great-granddaughter of 20-year-old Pretty Girl.
