Shale and Yates
Hello everyone! The horses of Theodore Roosevelt National Park never cease to amaze us. This week, Shale, a 24-year-old mare in Georgia Boys’ band, gave birth to the handsome colt you see below. Both mom and her boy are doing well. Shale is an experienced mother and has strong support by her side, including stallion Finn (Tex), who is her 2021 colt, and fellow bandmate 26-year-old mare Busy Blue. This darling colt has been given the name “Yates.” We wish him and Shale all the best. As always, please join us in welcoming the newest addition to the Theodore Roosevelt National Park herd!
