Fun Friday Part 45
Hello everyone, and Happy New Year! What better way to kick off the year than with our first “Fun Friday” of 2026! The holidays kept me busy this year, but that didn’t stop me from spending time with the horses. Below, you will find a collection of photos showcasing some of the horses I’ve sat with over the past month. I’ll include more information and updates for each image, so be sure to scroll through. 2013 Mare, Eagle (Daisy x Silver) – She is currently running in Remington’s band along with her sister, Lakota. For those who have been around a while, her grandma was Chubby
2021 Band Stallion, Black Hawk (Wyatt) – After months of watching Black Hawk go back and forth fighting with stallion Maverick, he finally figured out how to take the girls he wanted and become our newest band stallion inside the park. He now holds a band of three mares Raven’s Myst, Cedar, his mother Grace, and Raven Myst’s filly Rumor.
Mare Blondie (left) is back with her family as Grady once again took her from Anthem. She spent a lot of last year with Anthem before rejoining Grady’s band. Anthem managed to pick her up once again recently, but it was short-lived. Mares Paige and Lorelye are pictured with Blondie.
2010 Band Stallion, Ollie Jr (Vamoose) – he currently holds a band of seven mares and two colts
Mare Emmylou, her nephew Flint (out of Little Mo), and Mare Raven – all three are currently in Gunner’s band
2024 Colt, Tucker (Rhett) out of Mare Shay (they are both in Apex’s band)

This golden eagle flew over to check me out while I was on top of a nearby butte one afternoon. Very cool!
