Remembering Lightning

Hello everyone. It is with heavy hearts that we have to report the oldest mare and horse, Lightning has passed away. She was 24 years old and lived her entire life wild and free inside Theodore Roosevelt National Park. That is absolutely amazing!
Whenever I have to write a post like this, I always feel that it is not enough. How do you find the best way to honor a horse that lived in the Park for 24 years? There is no putting into words the years of joy she brought her family and Park visitors who were lucky enough to see her. Imagine all that she experienced and saw during her time in the Park. That is her story to take with her, and we are blessed for the tiny piece she shared.
She is another legend lost but will never be forgotten.
RIP Lightning ????
