The Many Moods of Ollie Jr.
Happy Saturday! Here is the updated look at Ollie Jr and the rest of his band that I promised. He is currently holding mares Sapphire, Stormy, and Autumn. During my last visit with Ollie, he was in a ‘mood.’ He would not let any of his band eat near him and actually bit and chased off Sapphire when she got too close. I guess he was just having one of those days. I was fortunate to spend some more time with the band this week and everyone is still doing well. His colt, Applewood, was enjoying the warm weather and after a long nap, spent a good 20 minutes antagonizing his sister. At one point, they were playing on the edge of a wash and Aqua slipped a little at the top. From where he was standing, Ollie couldn’t see that it was Applewood below her in the wash picking on her. Her slip and tiny squeal at her brother caught Ollie’s attention and he quickly ran over to make sure she was alright. Once he saw the horse below was his son and not a stallion he needed to chase off, he stopped and went back to grazing. After my last visit with the band, it was nice to see the protective daddy side of Ollie shine through. Enjoy this gorgeous band and have a great weekend!
