Perdita and Her New Colt Ace
Hello everyone. Today I have for you a closer look at the new colt out of Mare Perdita that you all named Ace. He is an adorable little guy who looks an awful lot like his 2020 sister, Birch. The two of them are presumed to have the same sire, Gunner.
Perdita has had quite the life in her short time living inside the Park. In 2019, Perdita and her newborn filly, Anisak had somehow become separated from Perdita’s natal band and were walking all alone. Perdita, then age 2, was caring for her first foal alone while still a baby herself. When numerous young stallions fought over her she did an extraordinary job of keeping young Anisak safe. After several weeks, Gunner won out over the other stallions and claimed Perdita and her foal for himself.
Peridta, now age 4, has proven to be an extraordinary mare! Enjoy this look Perdita and her kids, Anisak, Birch, and Ace.
